Philophobia has been acquired by a raft of international distributors including HBO Europe in a series of deals closed by writer-director Guy Davies and Wide Management.
In the absence of big blockbusters taking up screens during 2020, Guy decided to take his chances going direct to cinemas… and it paid off. Philophobia opened in 45 locations on October 30 but had its release cut short when a second national lockdown was introduced on November 5.
Now, Vertical Entertainment has secured UK VOD and digital rights, and plans to release this spring under the title As I Am.
